Tell your state senator: Keep New York moving

New York City has the best public transit system in the country, and it makes our state an environmental leader. 7 million people ride the subway, bus or commuter rail every day, which means 400 million fewer pounds of soot, carbon emissions and other toxic substances released into the air we breathe.

Unfortunately, the Metropolitan Transit Authority is struggling amidst serious financial woes -- and instead of looking for lasting funding solutions, our leaders in Albany are proposing even deeper cuts.

There are plenty of possible solutions to the MTA’s funding crisis -- but we need our leaders in Albany to take the common-sense steps necessary to stave off disaster. Send an e-mail to urge your state senator to do what’s necessary to keep New York moving.
